How much will my car insurance go up for an at-fault accident in Texas?

The insurance company is still reviewing the accident, but it most likely will be my fault. My car is old and probably going to be marked a total loss. The damage to the other person's vehicle was minor. How much will my insurance go up if it's ruled at-fault?

“Every
car insurance
carrier rates accidents and violations differently. It’s hard to give you an exact number as it depends on a lot of different factors.
If you haven’t been in an accident before and have an otherwise clean driving record, it may not impact your rate as much as someone with multiple accidents or violations in their history.
That being said, if your insurance rates do go up, you always have the ability to shop around. Not all carriers weigh accidents in the same way when determining your rates.
Once your insurance company has closed the claim, take a look at your rate and what other carriers are offering. You may be able to find a more affordable plan and save some money.
