How much pain and suffering compensation should I ask for from my auto insurance company?
I was hit by an uninsured and unlicensed driver. Since I have uninsured motorist coverage, my insurance is also compensating me for pain and suffering. I'm not sure what number I should ask for when I negotiate with them.

company for your bodily injury depends on many factors. You’ll want to look at any medical expenses related to the accident that you incurred, as well as any loss of work. This also includes future medical care. You’ll want to account for any additional expenses you had in relation to pain and suffering from the accident. This could include therapy or other treatment.
Once you gather this information, you should be able to get a general idea of how much you would like to negotiate for. If you’d prefer a professional opinion, you could seek the advice of an attorney.
Beyond this, there isn’t a set number or estimation that can be provided. Every accident and claim is different. The settlements carriers pay are based on the specific details of each claim.
