I’ve been a loyal BMW driver for a while now, but have seriously been considering switching to an electric car to save money on gas. How much does the BMW i8 electric cost?

The BMW i8 is no longer actively in production, but the starting MSRP of the plug-in hybrid sports car of the latest model was $147,500.
