The used Lexus I bought recently is fantastic—I love its looks. But the engine needs a bit more “pep” (as my grandmother would say). I’d like to increase my Lexus’ horsepower. How much is a tune for a Lexus IS 250?

Depending on where you live, you can expect to pay between $100-$175 per hour for a professional Stage 1 tune for your
Lexus IS 250
. A dyno tune, which will analyze and modify your car’s stock computer settings, typically takes between 2 to 4 hours.
At the end of the process, your tuner/mechanic should be able to realize enough horsepower (hp) gains to give your Lexus more pep, as your grandmother would describe it!
If you later decide you want even more hp, you can then have a Stage 2 tune. During this stage, your tuner would analyze your Lexus’ air intake and exhaust systems and make any modifications you decide.
