How much does it cost to winterize a car?

I want to winterize my car this year, as last year I ran into some issues by not doing so. How much can I expect to pay to winterize my car?

“Unless you need a new battery or a set of winter tires, you can expect to pay between $50 and $100 to winterize your vehicle.
Costs will go toward:
  • Topping off your fluids
  • Replacing your windshield wipers
  • Running a quick diagnostic of your dashboard lights
  • Rotating your tires.
Beyond this, make sure you have a
winter emergency car kit
as well. A winter kit will help protect you if you’re stranded in a winter storm.
It’s also a good idea to review your car insurance policy. If you don’t have towing coverage, it might be worth it to add it to your policy should you ever skid off the road due to ice and need some help.
