How much does it cost to program a BMW key fob?

How much would it cost me to program my new BMW key fob? I had to get a new key fob online, but I still have to program it.

Actually, it won’t cost you anything to program your new key since you can program your

key fob yourself! Here’s how:

Put your new key in the ignition and move it quickly to and from the first position five times.

Remove the key from the ignition.

Press and hold the unlock button.

With the unlock button pressed, press the lock button three times.

Release the unlock button, then press it again and repeat step three

Finally, turn on your ignition with your key.

Congratulations! You’re done. Just make sure to test your key fob to confirm the remote is working properly.

If you have any issues, you can always contact a BMW dealership or service center to help program your key fob.
