We had a hail storm last night, and my car wound up with some dents. I don’t have comprehensive coverage on the car, just liability. How much does it cost to fix a car dent?

Cars and dents go hand-in-hand. Even when we do our best, we can’t protect cars from damage. It may cost you between $50 and $2,000 to fix a car dent, depending on your vehicle type and the severity of the dent.
Here are some common dent situations and associated repair costs:
Paintless dent repair is the least expensive. If body shop mechanics can remove the dent without filling, sanding, and painting the area, this process may cost you between $50 and $125 per dent.
Larger dents can cost up to $2,000, especially for luxury vehicles. This is why hail storm damage can total a car. However, repairing your dents may be much less than this price.
Consider replacing the dented car part if repair prices go beyond $1,000. For instance, if the damage is mainly to your car’s hood, it may be less expensive to replace the hood than to repair the dents.
