can make anywhere between $31,000 and $46,000 a year. But the amount you make will depend on when you drive, where you drive, and how often you drive.For instance, you’re likely to make more money if you’re driving in a bigger city with more potential riders, such as
Detroit
, Grand Rapids
, or Ann Arbor
. The time of day can also determine how much money you can make driving an Uber. For instance, driving during peak hours from 5 pm to 5 am might cut into your and Stella’s social plans. So ask yourself—would you rather be chatty with your friends or chatty with strangers?
Early morning rush hour can also be lucrative for an Uber driver, but Mortimer might not be too happy if his walks are cut short because you’re being hailed for a ride.
Of course, the biggest determinant of how much money you can make as an Uber driver will depend on how often you drive. You make your own hours as an Uber driver, but do know the company will take a cut of everything you earn.
