How much does a new headlight cost?

I can’t believe this, but someone smashed one of my front headlights while I was in the store today. I don’t know why anyone would do that, but I guess I will need a new one. How much is that going to cost me?

I’m so sorry to hear that someone did that to your car. As for how much a new headlight costs, it will depend on your car’s make and model. In general, a full new headlight+assembly will cost between $250 and $700, depending on the type of headlight in question.
Keep in mind, though, that that’s the cost for the part alone. If you want to hire a professional to install it for you, rather than doing it yourself, you’ll probably pay $300-$1,000.
Since the damage was the result of vandalism, you might be able to get your
car insurance
provider to pay for the new headlight—assuming that your policy includes
