How much does a Hyundai extended warranty cost?

How much more will I have to pay for a Hyundai extended warranty versus a regular warranty? I want to have as much coverage as possible since this new car is a big investment for me.

Depending on the exact warranty package you choose, a Hyundai extended warranty will cost between $350 and $750 per year on top of your
Hyundai car insurance
expenses.
Regardless of the level of coverage you choose, the Hyundai extended warranty will last a maximum of 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. There are three different warranty options (or, as Hyundai calls them, Protection Plans) for you to choose from:
  • Platinum, which offers the most coverage
  • Gold, which offers less coverage than Platinum
  • Powertrain, which only covers the parts that make your vehicle move
If you want to keep your new car safe for as long as possible regardless of the price, the Platinum warranty might be for you. Otherwise, it might be more economically sensible to choose a warranty with less coverage and an insurance policy with lots of coverage.
