Do tandem bicycles have four wheels or just three? I’ve never ridden one before, but my boyfriend wants to rent one for fun and now I’m curious to know more.

have two wheels, just like a regular bicycle! Occasionally you’ll see a tandem bike with three wheels, but these are technically called tandem tricycles and often have a different pedaling system than the tandem bicycle.While you might assume that a tandem bicycle would require more wheels for balance, the real challenge of tandem bicycling is that you need to rely on your partner to balance just as well as you do!
