You’re right that there have been a few variations of the Subaru WRX. In fact, Subaru has made at least 14 special edition variants of the
Subaru WRX
over the years. Some of the most notable ones include:- WRX STI Type RA: 500 examples of this vehicle were produced in the United States in 2018. It was introduced in America to celebrate becoming the fastest sedan around the Nürburgring racing track.
- WRX STI S209: There were only 209 of this model produced in 2019, making the S209 one of Subaru’s rarest WRX variants. It was also one of the most expensive Subaru models, with an MSRP of $64,000 during the initial drop.
- WRX STI EJ20 Final Edition: This model was produced to commemorate the end of production of Subaru’s EJ20 engine in 2019. There were only 555 models produced in Japan, and each one included a balanced version of the EJ20.
Other WRX variants might have different color options, cosmetic updates, engine changes, and other differences that set them apart from the standard WRX model.
