Coupes were made before GM shut the Wilmington manufacturing plant down in late July 2009. If you want to impress your dad with some Pontiac Solstice Coupe facts of your own, here are a few interesting ones:
- Not all Pontiac Solstice Coupes that were made went to the US market—some of them went to Mexico and Canada
- The Coupe came with an iconic targa top which was first used on the Porsche 911 in 1966
- The rarest Solstice Coupe out there is painted in “Santiago” Teal Metallic and exactly one of these was made for the Canadian market
- The “least” rare Pontiac Solstice Coupe built is the “Mysterious” Black Solstice which made up 31% of the total fleet (388 units)
- They were only available for one model year between 2009 and 2010
