How many points before your license is suspended in Rhode Island?

I have terrible luck with parking tickets and I’m starting to worry that I might get my license suspended. Is this something that happens when you get too many points in Rhode Island?

It’s good that you’re checking so that you can avoid having your license suspended! The state of
Rhode Island
is one of a few that doesn’t have a points system, meaning your license won’t be suspended for getting points. However, your license can be suspended if you accumulate three or more charges within three years, since you will be marked as a habitual offender.
This license suspension can last from one to five years, depending on the severity of the charges. This makes Rhode Island one of the strictest states as far as license suspensions for habitual offenders go.
With all that being said, however, there is good news! Parking tickets won’t go on your driving record, so there’s no need to worry about how they’ll affect your license as long as you pay the fine on time.
Parking tickets can’t affect your car insurance, either, but regular traffic tickets can. With the
