How many mpg do Smart cars get?

I’m thinking about getting one because they seem like environmentally friendly cars. But before I get one, I want to learn more about its fuel efficiency. What’s the average miles per gallon that most Smart cars get?

Great job staying environmentally conscious! Smart cars were built for fuel efficiency, so they get about 40 mpg. Comparatively, the average car only gets about 24 mpg.
One of the biggest reasons for Smart cars’
fuel efficiency
is their size. Smart Cars typically weigh around 1,500 pounds, which is about half the size of an average sedan or crossover. Given the lighter weight and smaller size, the Smart Car can go farther with less fuel.
Unfortunately, Mercedes stopped selling Smart cars in the United States due to low sales. If you want a new one, you’ll need to import one or buy a used one.
