Produced between 1927 and early 1932, 4.85 million Model A Fords were made in only about five years. Not only was this an impressive number for its time, but it also solidified Ford as one of the premier automakers in the world.
During its production run, the Model A came in nearly 36 various types, differentiated only by a literal description of the car after Model A. For example, the Ford Model A Convertible Sedan was just what the name says, while the Ford Model A Pickup was a pickup truck.
No one is quite sure how many Model A cars are left—especially with reproductions and models that are no longer running—but it’s definitely a model worth finding at shows and museums.
