How many Kia Stingers were made?

I heard the Kia Stinger is to be discontinued after the 2023 model year. I’d love to get one, but I can’t afford a new 2023 model, so I’ll be shopping for a used one. How many Kia Stingers were actually made?

Kia is indeed putting an end to the Stinger’s rather short run, which started in the 2018 model year. It’s due to slow sales, unfortunately. The model remains somewhat scarce for used car buyers—for the 2022 model year, just 7,415 were sold in the U.S.

Here’s how Stinger sales shaped looked in previous years:

2021: 13,417

2020: 12,556

2019: 13,861

2018: 16,806

2017: 843

To put those figures in perspective, Toyota sold 313,795

models in 2021 alone.
