The Fiat 500 is a historic vehicle, made at several different points throughout history.
The first iteration of the Fiat 500 is commonly known as the “Topolino” (which means “little mouse”) and was produced in Italy from 1936 to 1955. 520,000 were made.
After a two-year hiatus, the vehicle returned as the “Nuovo” (“new”) 500 from 1955 to 1975. A whopping 3,893,294 units were made.
Finally, the Fiat 500 returned in 2007 and has been continually produced since then. The vehicle gained significant popularity around the world, with the millionth Fiat 500 produced in 2012, and production reaching 2 million in 2017 after 10 years. The 2.5 millionth Fiat 500 was produced in the plant of Tychy, Poland, in March 2021.
