How many electric cars are in London?
I'm a 'petrol head' living in the U.S., which makes me very biased regarding E.V.s. Most of my family lives back home in London, and we're split down the middle when we discuss if going electric even makes sense. I'm curious to know what the general population thinks about them. How many electric cars are there in London?

There’s nothing like a classic vehicle, but the Global objective to reach zero-emission is very real. In fact, London closed in 2021, with an impressive 48,527 registered fully
electric cars
. These numbers are primarily in part to a big expansion of charging points. There are now more than 8,400 charging stations in London. In all of the U.K., one-third of the stations are in the Capital. This progress paves the way for more residents to make the transition eventually.
London has managed to double the number of electric cars sold last year. This puts them at the forefront of European cities for the number of charging points and puts them in an excellent position to lead the race to zero emissions.
We don’t know what that means for the ‘petrol heads’ living in London, but whether or not you go electric, you should ensure that your ride has the best and most affordable car insurance policy.
