This rare car was built in 1981 by head designer Bob Ackerman and was featured in a movie called The Wraith.
The vehicle was designed for tech purposes. The round, sloping body style and bold sport-style choice of a mid-engine were aerodynamically engineered for use during wind tunnel testing. The Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor could reach a top speed of 194.8 miles per hour, making it the fastest four-cylinder car at the time.
The Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor is best known for appearing in a 1986 supernatural fantasy film, The Wraith. To make the most of its Hollywood moment, Dodge built a few similar-looking prototypes, which is why about four to six of these cars exist. The vehicle itself is often referred to as The Wraith.
