How many cylinders does a Volkswagen Beetle have?
My mom is in the process of buying a used car and since we’ll be sharing it, I’m taking a lot of interest in which car she picks. So, imagine my dismay when I see she’s eyeing a 2019 Volkswagen Beetle. I like a slug bug as much as the next guy, but how am I supposed to race in that? How many cylinders does it come with?

I suppose it’s true that the
Volkswagen Beetle
isn’t known for its street racing prowess. There are four cylinders in the 2019 Volkswagen Beetle. It’s rocking with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of 174 horsepower, all moving with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Most reviews mention how the transmission shifts through gears without real urgency, so it may be tough to win any athletic competitions. But other than that, the Beetle can provide a smooth, well-handled ride with plenty of power for everyday driving. If your mom does indeed opt for the slug bug, I hope you find some happiness in its capabilities!
