How many cylinders does a Nissan 350Z have?

My brother recently gifted me his 2009 Nissan 350Z—they just had their third child and it's not practical to haul the family around anymore. I asked him how many cylinders it has, but he didn’t know—he’s not exactly a “car guy”. So anyway, how many cylinders does a Nissan 350Z have?

The
Nissan 350Z
last rolled off the line in 2009, and its V6 engine has six cylinders.
The final year of the 350Z’s production featured just the one engine across all three trim lines—a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 306 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque.
The more cylinders a car has, the more powerful it usually is. A car with a V6 is usually more powerful than a four-cylinder vehicle, while a V8 would be more powerful than both. Same goes for a car with a V10 or V12 engine. That said, the more cylinders your car has, the quicker it will burn gas, so you’ll have to fill up more frequently the more powerful your ride is.
Since your brother didn’t know what a cylinder is or what is does, here’s a quick lesson—a cylinder is an encased metallic chamber where fuel is burned and then converted into energy, which then moves your vehicle. Cylinders are vital engine components. Without them? Your car won’t run!
