I know no one’s really buying minivans anymore, but I think a Honda Odyssey could suit my family of six. I don’t really know much about its engine, though—how many cylinders are in a Honda Odyssey?
could certainly be a great fit for your family of six!
The latest Honda Odyssey (2023) has six cylinders in its 3.5-liter engine. While most Odysseys contain a variation of this V6, some older models have four cylinders instead.
Here’s a look through some Odyssey base engine history:
First generation (1995-1998): 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine capable of 140-hp
Second generation (1999-2004): 3.5-liter V6 capable of 210-hp
Third generation (2005-2010): 3.5-liter V6 capable of 244 to 255-hp
Fourth generation (2011-2017): 3.5-liter V6 capable of 248-hp
Fifth generation (2018-present): 3.5-liter V6 capable of 280-hp
While you won’t be winning any races in a minivan, the Honda Odyssey still holds its own when it comes to engine power. If you do end up purchasing one for your family, you’ll want to make sure each one of those cylinders is well-protected with quality
