How many cylinders are in an Infiniti Q50?

I love the style of the Infiniti Q50 and I’m interested in buying one. My only issue is that I know that many companies are switching to smaller engines for improved fuel economy—something I’m not concerned about. How many cylinders does an Infiniti Q50 engine have?

You’re right—many companies are switching to more economical engines, but the Infiniti Q50 is quite the opposite. Depending on the model year, the Infiniti Q50 has either four or six cylinders.
In 2014 and 2015, the Infiniti Q50 boasted a 3.7-liter V6 engine that has 328 horsepower and up to 269 pound-feet of torque—the only one also used in a
G37 V6
. However, Infiniti shed this engine in 2016 in favor of two other options:
  • 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque—this lasted until 2019
  • 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with either 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque or 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque—made from 2016 on and eventually replacing the 2.0-liter turbo-four in 2020
