There’s probably a reason for that—the
Chrysler Aspen
was only around for a brief moment. While numbers can vary slightly depending on the source you look at, a common estimate is that about 65,000 Chrysler Aspens were sold during the short timespan they were made.The Aspen was only available from the 2007 to 2009 model years before being swiftly discontinued due to lackluster sales.
To be clear, the
Chrysler
Aspen is an entirely different vehicle than the Dodge Aspen, the compact car that became one of the most notorious lemon cars
in history during its run in the 1970s and 1980s.But back to the Chrysler Aspen—this SUV could seat up to eight people and was essentially a more luxurious iteration of the
Dodge Durango
. It was available with just one Limited trim level option with a solid offering of standard features, but extra packages could get you additional perks like heated seats, automatic climate control, a power liftgate, and driver seat memory settings. So while it may not have sold well at the time, the Chrysler Aspen could still make a solid option for an SUV alongside others of the same model year.
