—and all of those cars are driven by approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers!Since you just moved, don’t forget that you’ll need to register your car in Virginia. The process is easy, but it’s important to move fast. The state requires new residents to register their car within 30 days of moving.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Head to the DMV and complete an application for title and registration
- Provide proof of Virginia residency
- Turn over your title and registration card from your previous state
- Choose whether you want to register your car for one or two years and pay the fee
