How many BMW HP2 Sports were made?
I love Bimmers and motorcycles, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out BMW released bikes! I’d love to get my hands on an HP2 Sport from the early ‘10s. How many HP2 Sports did BMW produce?

It may come as a surprise that
BMW
has produced many a motorbike, but once you consider the brand’s love for motorsports and performance, it was the obvious next step. The HP2 Sport is particularly rare—only 435 BMW HP2 Sports were made and only 195 were sold in the U.S.The HP2 Sport was manufactured from 2008 to 2012 and specifically designed for the track. BMW also produced an HP2 Megamoto from 2007 to 2010 and an off-roading HP2 Enduro from 2005 to 2008 with production numbers for the entire HP2 line-up totaling 2,260 units.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a BMW HP2 Sport for sale—but it’s likely going to be pretty expensive if you do! And while you may not need to buy
car insurance
for your bike, you will need to get motorcycle insurance
to protect your bike, yourself, and others. Always consider all of the costs before buying a collector ride like the BMW HP2 Sport!
