How many Audi RS4s were made?
I really love the Audi RS4 but it’s been hard to find one, and I’ve recently been told there is a limited number allotted to the US. Out of curiosity, how many were actually made?

From 1999 to 2015, only around 23,000 Audi RS4s were made. For comparison, 15,239
Audi A4s
were sold in 2022 alone. Here’s a quick breakdown of each generation:
- B5 Typ 8D (1999-2001): 6,030 units
- B7 Typ 8E (2006-2008): Approximately 10,000 units—2,000 went to the US
- B8 Typ 8K (2012-2015): 7,000 units, plus 200 Nogaro Selection Limited Edition trim
The fourth generation B9 RS4 was announced in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show with more updates, including an exterior refresh, new wheel design, new engine with more torque, better fuel efficiency and acceleration, and an option for an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
The Audi RS4 is much loved for its perfect blend between performance and practicality. This fast wagon packs a lot of power for driving enthusiasts, yet it is still practical to drive around the city with its ample trunk space. The humble interior also makes it a great family hauler without sacrificing the fun.
