How many 2017 Ford Focus RSs were made?
My good friend has a 2017 Ford Focus RS that he *swears* is super rare, but I seem to remember there was a decent amount of those produced that year. Just so I can prove him wrong…how many RSs were made in 2017?

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to give you a definitive number for how many 2017
Ford Focus RSs
were made. It doesn’t seem like there are many hard and fast production numbers for that year, and the sale numbers won’t necessarily accurately reflect the production numbers since many models were unsold by the end of that year. Likely, around 4,500 to 5,000 Ford Focus RSs were made in the 2017 production year. Those numbers may seem low, but for a high-performance niche vehicle, they were actually pretty good.
Ford wanted to mark the end of Focus RS production in 2018 with a limited, even more expensive model. With only 1,000 units of the new model year planned to be made, the car company wanted to make sure that its cars would sell quickly.
So, your friend’s 2017 Ford Focus RS may not be super rare, but it’s rare enough!
