My basement recently flooded and I lost all the paperwork on my Toyota. I just want to know if my car is still under warranty. How do I see if my Toyota warranty is still valid?

I need to charge the battery on my car, but I’ve never done it before. I’m terrified of messing something up. What happens if I switch up the wires, like if I disconnect the positive battery cable instead of the negative one?

I was parked on the street overnight and when I came out this morning, my car had been damaged by a hit-and-run. I definitely can't pay for this out of pocket, but I've never had to deal with something like this before. How do I report this incident to my insurance company?
