It’s always wise to do some research before purchasing a new car. Pontiac made exactly 46,886 two-door hardtop Custom S vehicles in the year 1969. This means that the vehicle was relatively uncommon, and its A-body design was produced for one year only.

The 1969 Pontiac Custom S was positioned between the base-level

and the trimmed-out

. It replaced the previous Tempest Custom trim level.

The Custom S nameplate was dropped a year later—which means, if you’re able to find one, it’s worth scooping up because it’s definitely the rare car from ‘69!
