Having a DUI expunged from your record will effectively remove arrest and court records from your public record. Be aware, though, that law enforcement agencies will still be able to access your complete record.
To have your DUI conviction expunged or sealed in Oklahoma, you’ll have to pay a $150 fee. You have to pay an additional fee just for filing for expungement, and local law enforcement agencies may require one as well.
You aren’t required to have a lawyer for expungement, though it may be a good idea to hire one if you aren’t familiar with the legal paperwork and requirements involved. After everything is squared away on the legal end, your court and arrest records should be sealed in around one month.
