How long will a DUI stay on my driving record in North Dakota?
I was at a party in Fargo and made a very bad error in judgment. I thought I was sober enough to drive home, but apparently I was not because here I am with my first DUI conviction. I’m very concerned—how long am I going to have a DUI on my driving record in North Dakota?

This is what’s called a look-back period and is used in court to determine how future DUI charges will be penalized. In North Dakota, look-back periods for DUI convictions are as follows:
- First, second, and third offenses—seven year look-back period
- Fourth and subsequent offenses—fifteen year look-back period
