How long should my driveway sealer dry before I can drive on it?

How long do I have to stay off of my driveway after I seal coat it? I just got the job done and it looks great, so I don’t want to mess it up by driving on it too early. I don’t love parking on the street, though!

It’s usually recommended that you wait 24 to 48 hours for your driveway sealer to dry before you drive on it. If it’s particularly cold outside, however, you may want to wait a little longer because it will take the sealer a little longer to dry in the absence of the summer heat. In the colder months, it’s best to wait for at least 72 hours before you drive on your newly sealed driveway.
In the meantime, parking your car on the street is a good option. If you want, you could also find a
parking garage
in order to keep your car a little more protected from the elements while you wait to use your newly sealed driveway.
