How long should I wait before driving after my cataract surgery?

I need to get cataract surgery soon, but I also need to drive to work. How long should I wait before I can start driving again?

Hope your surgery goes well! You should wait at least 24 hours before driving after cataract surgery. However, this will depend on your healing progress and your doctor’s advice. You will need to go back to the surgeon’s office the next day to assess if it is safe for you to resume driving.
You cannot drive right after the surgery since you need to be anesthetized, so make sure to arrange for a ride to and from the clinic!
