How long is the Ford paint warranty?

I took my car to the car wash the other day, and I noticed that some of the paint was peeling on the door. As far as I know, I didn’t do anything that would have caused the paint to peel, so I’m thinking that it might be a manufacturer defect. How long does the paint warranty last on a new Ford?

The Paint is covered under the 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty that comes with every new Ford, assuming that it’s a manufacturer defect. The only way to tell is to take your car to the dealership. At the dealership, a technician can decide whether the paint peel is the result of a defect or something you may have done inadvertently.
If the technician deems the paint the fault of a defect or poor workmanship, Ford will pay for the repairs at no cost to you. However, if the tech assesses it to be the result of normal wear and tear, you’re on the hook for the paint job.
If you have to pay for new paint, costs vary dramatically. A new paint job can cost thousands, while a quality touch-up job can be a few hundred bucks. If you want to offset the costs of a new paint job, one thing you can do is lower your
