How long is the Chevrolet powertrain warranty?

I’m comparing different vehicles and I want to make sure that the one I buy has a great warranty. According to my friend, Chevy has an awesome warranty, but I don’t know much about it. How long does the Chevy powertrain warranty last?

Your friend is right—the Chevrolet powertrain warranty lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty pays for any replacement parts or repairs needed due to a manufacturer defect. However, it does not pay for general wear and tear or maintenance.
Every new Chevy also gets a three-year, 36,000-mile basic bumper-to-bumper warranty, which covers almost all components of your car from manufacturer defects.
