How long is a car inspection?

I need to take my car in for inspection next Tuesday, but I also have a doctors appointment that I can't reschedule directly afterwards. How long does a car inspection usually last?

Great question! Depending on how soon your appointment is after your inspection, you may want to choose a different day to bring your car in, as inspections usually take around an hour.
In most cases on average, car inspections take anywhere between 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Car inspections are comprehensive and investigate your entire vehicle, so they can run a little long! They can also take longer, depending on the state of your vehicle, although they should not cost you more than $100.
While you’re waiting for your vehicle to finish inspection, you might want to make sure that your car is covered in terms of insurance, too. To quickly make sure that you’re getting the best deal on the coverage you need, check out the
