My car insurance policy is on autopay, but I noticed that a payment didn't come out last month. I didn't realize until now and I'm worried I'm uninsured. How long does it take for car insurance to lapse?

car insurance company
as soon as possible.You may find a number of reasons why your payment didn’t come out. By calling, you can find out if there was an issue with your account or a possible mistake on your car insurance company’s end.
Most car insurance companies cancel for nonpayment after 30 days of no payment. However, you should receive a cancellation notice from your insurance company at least 10 days before the cancellation date.
If you haven’t received a notice in the mail, you shouldn’t have a
lapse of insurance
