How long does a car fob battery last?
What’s a normal amount of time for a car key fob battery to last? I think mine might be dying, but I haven't had it for very long.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your key fob. Most
car fob
batteries will last for three to four years with regular use. But if you regularly leave your key near your car, it’s likely the battery will drain faster.To help your fob battery last longer, you should store your key at least 10 feet away from your car. Any closer and the car will recognize the fob—putting it in an active state and draining the battery. Luckily, fob batteries typically cost around $5, and you can get them from a wide range of stores and dealers.
