How long does a 2006 BMW 330i OEM battery usually last?

I recently bought a used 2006 BMW 330i from someone who barely ever drove it, and as far as I know the battery is still the original one it came with—is that normal? How long does a 2006 BMW 330i OEM battery usually last?

In most cases, it wouldn’t be normal for a 2006 BMW 330i OEM battery to last 16 years, but if—as you said—the original owner rarely ever used the vehicle and the car was well taken care of, the original battery could conceivably last that length of time.
Had the vehicle been driven regularly, however, it would be more realistic to expect the OEM battery to last somewhere between 4 to 6 years before needing to be replaced.
You may want to err on the side of caution, however, and purchase a new battery for your 2006 BMW 330i, just to be on the safe side—at the very least, we’d recommend getting the battery tested to make sure it is functioning properly.
