How heavy is a car battery?
I bought a new battery for my car and I could barely lift it! Out of curiosity, how heavy are car batteries usually?

They are surprisingly heavy, so your strength isn’t the issue!
The average 12V car battery weighs around 40 pounds. That said, batteries can range in weight from 25 to 60 pounds, depending on the voltage, fluid level, and the type of car. Additionally, a lead-based battery will also weigh more than a lithium-ion battery.
If you’re curious exactly how much your battery weighs, check its side label. Most batteries will list their voltage and weight, as well as their composition, on the label.
