How does the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP hood open?

I have my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP up for sale, and the buyer said they want to check under the hood before committing to the sale. I haven't driven the car in about 10 years—how do I open the hood?

It is easy to forget the different functions of a car if you haven’t driven it in a while. Don’t worry, we will get you under the
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
hood in no time!
Just follow these steps:
  • Locate and pull the hood release. It is to the lower left of the steering wheel, on the dash panel
  • Once you pull the hood release, you will hear the hood pop up, and it will raise slightly
  • Go to the front of your
    Pontiac
and locate the secondary latch. It is in the space between the hood and the car
  • Press down on the hood slightly while simultaneously pushing up on the secondary latch
  • Push the hood straight up and move the hood prop over to keep the hood in place
And that’s it! Since you are selling your car, now is an excellent time to take a look at your
car insurance
