Waxing your car is a great way to make it look as good as new! Luckily, it’s easy to do from home—even without a buffer! Just follow these steps to wax your car:
Wash your car with soap and water.
Rinse it with fresh water.
Dry the car with microfiber towels. Make sure it’s completely dry before you start waxing.
Place your car in a shaded area that isn’t too hot or too cool. Direct sunlight or heat will make the wax dry too quickly.
Apply wax to a microfiber cloth or waxing pad.
Gently rub the wax on the car in small circular motions. Use the wax on one small section at a time, slowly working your way over the car.
Let the wax sit for as long as your waxing product recommends—usually around 10-20 minutes.
Polish the car by wiping off excess wax with a microfiber cloth. Rub the cloth in circular motions all over the car. Flip it to a clean side when it starts to drag a bit.
Repeat the waxing process one more time to give it a professional-level shine.
