Alternatively, you can program your 9-3 headlights to turn off using a Tech 2. To program your headlights, connect your Tech 2 to your car’s USB port and follow these steps:
Start on the Main Menu screen of your Tech 2
Select “diagnostics” and your car’s model year
Select your car’s make
Select “All”, then “Add/Remove”
From there, you can select an option called “Control Modules”
Scroll down to UEC, which stands for “underhood electrical center”
Select “Add”
When you get to “Light Switch Mode,” you can change it to “Automatic Low Beam only in Position 2”
This changes it so that you can turn your automatic headlights on and off using your headlight switch!
