I’ve recently picked up mountain biking as a hobby and love it! I have a pickup truck and want to begin driving to mountain biking locations throughout the state. How do I transport my bike in my truck bed?

Congrats on the new hobby! You can transport your bike in your truck bed with a bed bike rack, which is specifically designed to securely transport bikes in truck beds. Some bed bike racks are removable while others are permanently installed.
- Fork mounted: You’ll need to remove the front bicycle tire to secure your bike into the fork mount.
- Wheel mount: This bike rack, also known as roll-on mounts, fastens your bicycle’s front tire to the truck bed.
- Side clamp design: Installed into the bed’s side rails and uses ratchet holders to secure your bike into the truck bed.
- Rail mounts: Often used with a fork mount, rail mounts run the entire length of your truck bed.
- Tailgate pad: The thick foam covers and protects your tailgate so you can throw your bike into the back of your truck with the front wheel hanging out the back.
