How do you track a car with a number plate?

Is there a way to track a car using a number plate? An abandoned car is sitting on the street outside of my house and I’m trying to track down the owner.

To track a car using a number plate, you can use a license plate research website like License-Plate-Search.org. These sites will show you information about the car’s current owner information, but they charge a fee for their services. If the license plates are out of date, however, you probably won’t be able to find any information about the owner using the license plate number alone.
If you’re able to see the VIN on the dashboard on the driver’s side, request a
CARFAX report
to learn more about the car’s owner and accident history. You may have to pay for this report as well, but it’s usually less expensive than a license plate research site.
As a last resort, report the vehicle to the police. If the car is stolen or abandoned, the police will usually tow the car to an impound lot. You may not find the owner, but at least you won’t have an eyesore in front of your home.
