I’ve been having issues getting my car up and running, so I want to take a better look at the starter solenoid. Can you tell me how to test a starter solenoid?

To test a starter solenoid, you should perform a click test. To do this:
- First, pop the hood of your car and locate the solenoid.
- Listen for a clicking sound—this indicates that the starter solenoid is engaged.
If you conduct the click test and hear only a faint clicking sound, the problem is most likely with the control circuit. If you don’t hear any clicking sound, you should check your car’s
battery
