How do you test a car fuse box with a multimeter?
Some of my car’s electrical components just stopped working and my wife said a fuse might have blown. We have a multimeter at home, but we have no idea how to use it on the fuse box. What’s the best way to test a car fuse box with a multimeter?

Fuses regulate electricity in every part of your car, so your wife is probably right! Luckily, you can check your fuse box with a multimeter by following these steps:
- Step 2: Open the fuse box and turn on your multimeter.
- Step 3: Test each fuse by placing the multimeter leads in the two divots in each fuse. If you see the needle jump or your device beeps, the fuse is working! If it doesn’t move, then the fuse is dead.
- Step 4: Find and replace the failing fuse.
Congratulations! You just tested your fuse box with a multimeter. If you didn’t find any problems with the fuses, then you probably have other electrical problems. At this point, it’s probably best to
