Congratulations on your new purchase! Before making or receiving calls through your vehicle, you must pair your phone to Honda’s HandsFree Link. To setup Bluetooth in a
Honda Civic
, follow these steps:- Press the PHONE button.
- Navigate to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and ensure it’s in search or discoverable mode.
- Select Yes.
- The audio system will enter a waiting mode for pairing.
- Select Honda Civic on your phone’s Bluetooth menu.
- Select Search from your vehicle and follow the prompts.
- When your phone appears on the Bluetooth list, select it.
- The system will provide a pairing code on the audio/information screen—confirm if the pairing code on the screen matches the pairing code on your phone.
- A notification will appear on the screen if the pairing is successful.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when pairing your phone:
- You cannot pair a phone while the vehicle is moving.
- You can pair up to six phones.
- Your phone’s battery may drain faster when connected to HandsFree Link.
- If your phone is not ready for pairing or not found by your Honda within three minutes, the system will time out and return to the Bluetooth Settings screen.
